Sago Starch


Sago is a common ingredient in Indian recipes. In gruel form, sago can function as a healthy alternative to carbonated drinks, providing energy without any artificial contents. Sago can also be used in the preparation of desserts and some breads.

Sago can function as an herbal remedy to treat ailments resulting from too much heat. It is common to use sago in traditional medicine in Asian Pacific countries.

Sago Starch is made from Sago palm trees. In India, sugar is added to the starch and boiled to make a jelly. In the West, it is primarily used as a thickener.
